Polycystic kidney disease(PKD) is a disorder that is associated with kidney abnormality. It results in the fluid filled cysts that form in the kidney. It is one of the major diseases that cover in the kidney related tribulations. It can even cause death of the patient if they are not treated in the early stage. Experts say that this disorder is the 4th principal cause of the kidney failure. It cause large number of cysts that grow or cysts size increase with time that cause infections and other complications. PKD is very common disorder that occur in kidney but in some cases, it is likely to be affected other organs like liver, pancreas, spleen, ovaries, and large bowel also. It also seen in some cases those cysts never give any complications to the patients. But there are cases, patients suffering from polycystic kidney disease results in kidney failure, and eventually death of the patient. Doctors say that polycystic kidney disease can affect the working of brain and heart.

“ There are three types of polycystic kidney disease:”
1. Autosomal Dominant PKD
It is a disorder that is passed from parent to the child. It is also called as “dominant” inheritance. The symptoms of this disorder usually begin between the age of 30 and 40. Doctors say that 90% of patients of polycystic kidney disease are suffering from this type.
2.Infantile or Autosomal Recessive PKD
It is a disorder that is passed from parent to the child by “recessive “inheritance. If the patient suffers from this disorder usually experience the symptoms in the early stage of life. Doctors say that child in the womb also show these symptoms if they are affected with this disorder. The possibility of this case is very rare.
3.Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease
This disorder happens to the patient who suffers from kidney damage long time or the severe infection is there in the kidney. This disorder is directly associated with the dialysis and transplant. It is the worst type of the stage that patient deals with. The main symptom of this disorder is the change color of the urine to red color or blood in the urine.
